Classmates of Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, are voicing their opinions about him as he joins the New York University Stern School of Business.
One student claimed that Barron must distance himself from the political leanings of his conservative family and adopt a more progressive stance if he wants to get along with girls at such a liberal university.
Other students suggested that Barron should not be judged by his family background and must be perceived as just another individual.
One of his classmates also noted that she feels really bad for Barron as he did not choose his life, adding that she is excited to see Secret Service agents at the university to protect the former first son.
Another female classmate said she would consider being friends with Barron and would never judge him because of his father. Similarly, another classmate noted that her mom would want her to marry Barron.
Meanwhile, some of his new classmates want to partner with Barron to grill Democratic presidential hopeful Kamala Harris, with one student wanting to produce a “diss track against Kamala” in collaboration with Barron.
However, some students were quick to criticize Trump’s son. One student said that she would “absolutely not” become friends with him, adding that Barron is only at NYU because of his financial privilege and that she could study at the school only with the help of financial aid.
Barron appeared at the downtown Manhattan campus of NYU on Wednesday, August 28, surrounded by his Secret Service details, protecting him due to his father’s candidacy in the 2024 presidential election. If Trump wins the White House, Barron will be entitled to Secret Service protection for four years. It remains unclear whether the Secret Service agents will continue to patrol the NYU campus to protect Barron in the upcoming times.
Barron recently graduated from Oxbridge Academy in Florida, and his former classmates remember him as a “funny and sociable” individual who likes to engage in entertaining conversations. His former schoolmate added that Barron had never attended a football game in school despite talking about his love for the sport.
Barron was fond of the mobile phone game Clash of Clans but was unable to have fun as everyone else did, the classmate continued.
His friend also remembered that Barron was constantly protected by an agent who was always standing outside the classroom and went alongside Barron wherever he used to go. The friend did not tell, however, whether it was a Secret Service agent or a private security hire.
Oxbridge Academy also took additional safety measures to protect Barron, including registering his first name as “Jack” to prevent potential hacking attempts on its system.
