(RepublicanInformer.com)- Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden completely forgot about the Ferguson race riots this week when he made the shocking and inaccurate claim that there were no race riots under the Obama administration, under which he served as vice president.
During an interview with MSNBC, Biden attempted to blame Donald Trump for the riots sweeping across the United States. The same riots being committed by far-left activists from Antifa and Black Lives Matter, two organizations that overwhelmingly support the Democrats and despise the Republican Party.
“For the last four years we weren’t having riots, racial riots,” Biden said about the Obama administration. “When they occurred, we didn’t have to call in the National Guard.”
That’s probably because the Obama administration was too busy capitulating to violent extremists who demand they get everything they want or threaten to burn down cities. Now this vocal minority is not getting everything that they demand, they’re lashing out and burning down cities. In Kenosha, Wisconsin, much of the Black business district was destroyed in fires earlier this week, destroying the livelihoods of many Black families in the process.
Biden’s suggestion that the last four years of the Obama administration didn’t witness riots is wrong. In 2014, after the police shot Michael Brown, the National Guard was called in by Governor Jay Nixon to deal with the huge amount of violence that broke out in a suburb of St. Louis.
In a statement in August 2014, Governor Nixon referenced the ongoing racial riots.
“Tonight, a day of hope, prayers, and peaceful protests was marred by the violent criminal acts of an organized and growing number of individuals, many from outside the community and state, whose actions are putting the residents and businesses of Ferguson at risk,” he said.
Isn’t it funny how Democrats were able to condemn riots back when they were in charge, but are seemingly happy to seem them go ahead while a Republican is in the White House?
“I am directing the highly capable men and women of the Missouri National Guard to assist in restoring peace and order to this community,” he added.
Does somebody want to remind Biden this happened? He’ll be in trouble with Black Lives Matter if he forgets or even condemns it when he remembers.
As Fox News points out, that wasn’t the only one either. In April 2015, Baltimore saw several nights of looting, rioting, and arson following the death of Freddie Gray. Also in September 2016, there were riots in Charlotte, North Caroline, after Keith Lamont Scott died. It resulted in a state of emergency being declared and the National Guard being called in.
