Biden Made A Backroom Deal With Mitch McConnel

(RepublicanInformer.com)- Left-leaning Americans are criticizing President Joe Biden for allegedly trying to appoint a pro-life judge as part of an alleged agreement with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

Rep. John Yarmuth, a Democrat from Kentucky, revealed to the local paper that Biden intended to propose Chad Meredith, a supporter of the Federalist Society and a former state solicitor general, to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Yarmuth claimed that Meredith’s nomination was obtained in exchange for McConnell’s promise not to block any more federal nominees made by the Biden administration.

Democrat Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear claimed to the media that Meredith had been nominated and said, If the president makes that nomination, it is indefensible.

Beshear acknowledged that Biden has not yet officially filed the candidacy, but he expressed hope that this means it has been paused.

Reports show Meredith was a candidate for a federal judgeship in 2020, but then-President Donald Trump decided against the nomination.

According to a Kentucky-based news organization, Meredith is renowned for her success in the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals case that upheld a 2017 Kentucky abortion statute mandating abortion doctors to provide ultrasound and explain the image to the pregnant woman.

Following the Supreme Court’s ruling, asserting that abortion is not a constitutionally protected right, some liberals expressed anger with Biden’s speculated choice.

On Twitter, an unhappy socialist podcaster wondered how many times the left has to be stabbed in the back by the Democrats before they get the strength to exit the toxic relationship.

Despite the alleged agreement, McConnell and Biden don’t get along well when it comes to the legal system.

On Thursday, McConnell lambasted Biden for “attacking a key American institution like the Supreme Court from the global stage.”

Why is the left upset? Anytime McConnell deals with a Democrat, the result usually favors the Democrats.
