Border Crossings Surge As Title 42 Nears The End

( Illegal immigrants are surging the border as Title 42 nears its end, according to a report from American Pigeon. After word that a U.S. District Court is going to end the pandemic-era policy, which allowed border agents and officials to refuse migrants entry in the United States, nearly 1000 Venezuelan migrants came through El Paso, Texas, which was a hotspot for illegal immigration in October.

Under Title 42, it reportedly took just 15 minutes to process illegals and return them to their respective countries. It is unclear what will become of the migrants as the U.S.’s agreement with Mexico to receive Venezuelan immigrants will now be capped at 200 a day with the end of the policy. One source tells Breitbart that the migrants will likely achieve their goal of being released into the country.

Recent documents from Border Patrol reportedly show that nearly 4,500 immigrants were in custody in El Paso. The Customs and Border Patrol is sending more agents to the border to deal with the surge and reassigning their customs duties, Newsmax reports.

“El Paso Sector on the Texas border with Mexico has seen an increase in encounters,” the CBP said last week.

As the illegal population floods the United States, the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that the foreign-born population has bloated to 132,000 a month since President Biden took office, according to American Pigeon. Illegal immigrants also account for two-thirds of foreign population growth, with nearly 2 million settling in the country in the last 16 months as a result of President Biden’s open border policies.

Some advocates for immigration are arguing that immigration is “America’s superpower” and the country needs to allow more of it to hire flexible, exploitable workers to deal with labor shortages.
