Boston’s Woke Mayor Panics After ICE Arrests 370 Illegals Against Her Will

Boston’s sanctuary city policies have put criminals back on the streets, forcing federal immigration authorities to conduct one of their largest operations in recent memory – and Woke Mayor Michelle Wu is angry that it was done without her approval.

At a glance:

• ICE arrested 370 illegal immigrants in Boston in a major operation targeting criminal aliens

• 205 of those arrested had significant criminal histories including murder, child rape, and drug trafficking

• Border Czar Tom Homan led the operation after promising to target Boston’s sanctuary policies

• Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s office claims they weren’t informed about the operation

• Sanctuary policies forced ICE to conduct community raids rather than jail pickups, leading to more “collateral” arrests

ICE Sweeps Boston Streets, Arrests Hundreds of Criminal Illegal Aliens

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have arrested 370 illegal aliens in a massive operation across Boston and surrounding Massachusetts communities. The five-day operation specifically targeted transnational criminal organizations including MS-13, Tren de Aragua, Trinitarios, and 18th Street gangs.

Trump Border Czar Tom Homan personally led the operation after promising at CPAC to target Boston following reports of illegal alien child rapists walking free on city streets. ICE officials confirmed that 205 of those arrested had significant criminal convictions or pending charges for serious offenses.

Dangerous Criminals Released Due to Sanctuary Policies

“We did an operation in Boston. 370 apprehensions. Most of them were criminals, but many were collaterals,” Homan explained, referring to illegal immigrants who were not initial targets but were discovered during the operation. “Sanctuary cities are going to get exactly what they don’t want: more agents in the community and more collateral arrests.”

Among those arrested were several previously-deported criminals with disturbing histories, including Mario Luis Lambert Colon, a Honduran with a prior child rape conviction. ICE agents also apprehended Orlando Ernesto Olivares Mosso, a Chilean with prior child sexual assault convictions, and Jomar Henrique Souza Santos, a Brazilian fugitive wanted for murder.

Homan criticized Boston’s practice of ignoring ICE detainer requests, which are formal requests to hold criminal aliens for transfer to federal custody. The dangerous policy forces federal agents to conduct risky community arrests after local jails release the criminals back onto the streets.

State and Local Officials Defend Their Policies

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey insisted that Massachusetts is not a sanctuary state, claiming, “I am a former prosecutor and Attorney General. I led the New England Strike Force on fentanyl.”

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s office claimed they were not informed about the operation and demanded more transparency from ICE. Wu has previously defended Boston’s sanctuary policies while claiming the city is “the safest major city” due to collaboration with the federal government.
