Candidate Snaps Photo Op Despite Scandals

(Republicaninformer.com)- George Santos, the Republican winner for NY representative, receives more mockery after posting a relaxed Instagram photo to Twitter while ignoring his deceitful past.

Santos shared a photo taken on a Wednesday tour of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Santos has admitted to telling many lies about his personal and professional lives. He reaffirmed his intention to defy calls to resign before the House’s meeting the following week and claimed that the “honor” of the visit had motivated him to collaborate with the academy while representing New York’s 3rd Congressional District.

Santos wrote alongside a picture of himself at the academy, “It was an honor to tour the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point today. I look forward to collaborating with them in Congress to fully utilize this incredible resource we have right here in #NY03,” he said.

The incoming congressman has admitted to lying, including claiming to be Jewish when he is not, graduating from colleges he did not attend, and working for well-known financial institutions that he never did.

Most people dunked on his tweet on Wednesdays, the first from his account since Christmas. Many remarked that Santos was glaringly omitting any reference to his ongoing scandal.

In response to Santos, author Benjamin Dreyer tweeted, “Tweet through it, bro.”

Actor Charlotte Clymer tweeted, referring to the Seinfeld character who told many tall tales, “You should resign, George Costanza.”

Scientist Erin Biba tweeted, “You wouldn’t know what honor was if it spits in your face.”

Lawyer Mark Yzaguirre questioned, “Will you start telling people you are a sea captain now?

Although there isn’t much that can be done to stop Santos from taking office next week other than his resignation, some experts claim that the lies he told could expose him to criminal prosecution.

Santos may be liable for wire fraud, according to former US attorney Barbara McQuade, who claimed that he may have engaged in “a scheme or artifice to defraud” during his successful congressional campaign.

Republican Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly launched a probe into Santos on Wednesday.

Donnelly stated that the numerous fabrications and inconsistencies associated with Congressman-elect Santos are “nothing short of stunning.” “No one is above the law, and we will pursue criminal charges if they were committed in this county,” said the D.A.

Now do Joe Biden.
