Celebrities Hail ‘Inspirational’ Kate Middleton After Cancer-Free Update

Celebrities have spoken out in praise of Britain’s Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton. The Princess posted to social media recently, giving an update on her health following her cancer diagnosis in February. She said she was cancer-free, and her immediate focus was to stay that way. Kate also confirmed that she would resume “light” Royal duties and begin attending public engagements after many months of medical care and treatment.

Several celebrities replied to the Princess’s message, including actress Olivia Munn, who wrote about her own cancer diagnosis in 2023. The 44-year-old was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and described the Princess of Wales as an inspiration. “I send you all the love in the world,” she wrote. British TV star Amanda Holden also posted a response to Catherine, describing her message as “beautiful.”

Arizona Republican Kari Lake likewise said the Princess’s update was a “beautiful message,” and former US Treasury Secretary Monica Crowley told her America sent its prayers. Beyond the celebrity world, tens of thousands of people expressed their good wishes to Kate, who, according to repeated polls, is the British public’s best-loved Royal.

Kate, whose formal title is Catherine, Princess of Wales, sparked public concern when she vanished from public view last December, even spurring rumors that she had left the Royal family. She spoke out in March, however, with a video on social media saying cancer was found when she received medical treatment for an unrelated abdominal issue.

Catherine’s news came just weeks after her father-in-law, the King of England, revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer following a routine procedure. The 75-year-old King also provided a recent update and declared that he was ready to start a new chapter in his life following months of treatment and is set to undertake a tour to Somoa and on to Australia to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in October.

A Royal spokesperson praised the King’s attitude to his illness and said that even though he will continue to undergo regular treatment, he has never complained. “If anything, he wants to use it as a positive to help other people and raise awareness,” the spokesperson said.
