(RepublicanInformer.com)- Far-left New York Senator Chuck Schumer was just caught once again lying to aid President Joe Biden and the Democrats. This time, he wrongly claimed that every single American who wanted to leave Afghanistan was rescued from the country, and that the withdrawal of U.S. troops from the country was a success.
None of that is true.
During an interview with an ABC News affiliate in Syracuse, New York, Schumer made the false claim and smiled as if the United States has enjoyed some kind of great success.
He made the comments during the New York State fair when he was asked about whether the withdrawal from Afghanistan will help or hinder Democrats’ chances in the 2022 midterm elections.
Schumer insisted that he couldn’t predict what will happen but said that there will be a job for congressional oversight. At the moment, though, he said he is “still focused on trying to get some of those brave Afghans out.”
Seemingly unhappy with the fact that the vast majority of the 124,000 people who were evacuated from the country were Afghans – and many of them are likely to end up living in the United States – Schumer insisted that more should be lifted out of the country by American forces.
Then he made the casual lie about all Americans who wanted to leave having been saved.
“The Americans, all of whom wanted to come out have come out, praise God,” he said.
Wrong.
That’s a lie.
Even his office had to admit it. A statement was issued to CNN by his office insisting that he had “misspoke.”
Misspoke or just lied?
Around 100 Americans are believed to still be stuck in Afghanistan, but there is truly no way of knowing just how many people might still be stuck there.
