Congressman Says Things Were “Swept Under The Rug” In Biden Classified Info Case

(Republicaninformer.com)- The Biden administration has enjoyed cordial ties with the media, government agencies, and the U.S. intelligence community, according to Rep. Russ Fulcher (R-Idaho), who claimed that instances of potential wrongdoing by Biden and his administration have been “swept under the rug” following reports that classified documents were discovered in an office space used by President Joe Biden between 2017 and 2019.

On Monday night, Richard Sauber, the president’s special counsel, disclosed that documents with secret markings were found on November 2, only a few days before the 2022 midterm elections. According to Sauber, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was informed about the documents as soon as White House lawyers found them, and the NARA took ownership of them the following morning.

More than two months after they were given to NARA, Sauber made their initial public announcement about discovering these top-secret papers at the Penn Biden Center on January 9.

In an interview with NTD News on Tuesday, Fulcher stated, “Enter Jim Jordan, enter James Comer, my colleagues who will be extremely involved in looking into matters like that through the judiciary committee and the Oversight Committee.

“Let’s face it; these are things that have been swept under the rug, okay?” Fulcher said.

He said the intelligence community has been quite favorable to the current administration, and there have been very friendly media outlets and bureaucracies. That is why everyone is unaware of the specifics of these issues.

Fulcher raised concerns about the documents discovered in Biden’s former office space together with those raised by prior Republican announcements to look into Biden and his family members and the breach of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The House Select Committee’s investigation into the Capitol breach on January 6 was “extremely one-sided,” according to Fulcher, but “today, for the first time, we will have another look at these events.”

When classified materials were discovered in either of Biden’s offices, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and newly appointed House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) spoke of a political double standard.

Comer stated that there is “additional concern that there is a two-tier justice system inside the DOJ with how they treat Republicans vs. Democrats” due to the classified materials cases involving Trump and Biden.

Fulcher stated, “I don’t think there’s any question about it,” in response to whether there might be a political double standard.

Fulcher continued, “Again, revisit the January 6 Commission.” They began with a conclusion and said, “Okay, now we’re going to go substantiate our conclusion,” which was really one-sided.
