DHS Admits There Is No Specific Plot

(RepublicanInformer.com)- ABC News reported on June 30 that it had obtained a Department of Homeland Security bulletin warning that “violent extremists” may look to exploit the easing of COVID-19-related restrictions and the “increased access to mass gatherings” to “conduct attacks against a range of potential targets with little or no warning.”

This bulletin, which ABC News refers to as an “intelligence document,” then goes on to claim that with 34 states set to end their COVID restrictions in recent weeks, “domestic violent extremists, motivated by various violent ideologies have continued to advocate violence and plan attacks.”

These so-called domestic violent extremists are referred to by DHS as “RMVE-WSs” which stands for “racially or ethnically motivated violent extremist-white supremacists.” And according to DHS, these RMVE-WSs were “sharing downloadable links to a publication” that DHS claims discussed “targeting mass gatherings, critical infrastructure, and law enforcement officers.”

One “senior law enforcement official” told ABC News “we have the perfect storm.” Namely, things are very volatile and, because the COVID restrictions are ending there will now be “a more target-rich environment.”

But don’t worry. This “senior law enforcement official” doesn’t want the public to panic. Instead, just be on the alert and call the police if a group of RMVE-WSs are idling about.

This “intelligence document” was distributed to 18,000 law enforcement agencies this past Monday in anticipation for the upcoming July 4 holiday as well as “anniversaries associated with high-profile extremist attacks.”

Now that the ABC News’ report succeeded in completely freaking people out about ominous, shadowy “RMVE-WSs” lurking behind every shrub waiting to attack their Independence Day cookout, it finally gets around to explaining that DHS has found no specific plots identified for July 4.

Instead, the “intelligence brief ominously notes” that the feds “are seeing evidence of planning” by so-called “radicals.”

By “radicals,” the DHS bulletin specifically cites “white supremacists and violence-prone people.”

And by “planning” DHS means, they saw some stuff on social media.

Anybody else getting the sense that this is complete garbage?
