(RepublicanInformer.com)- Wendy Rogers, a state senator in Arizona, has received an enormous endorsement for her election — directly from former President Donald Trump.
This week, Trump said that Rogers, who has been one of the most loyal supporters of Trump and election integrity, has his “complete and total endorsement.”
On Monday, Trump released a statement about his endorsement that read:
“Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers is doing everything in her power to find out the truth of the 2020 Election, and to hold people accountable for Election Fraud in Arizona.
“Wendy is a MAGA warrior who loves our Country and listens to her constituents. She has a truly great fighting spirit, is strong on Law and Order, securing our Border, and gun rights. Wendy Rogers has my Complete and Total Endorsement for reelection to the Arizona State Senate because she FIGHTS!”
Rogers has been very vocal in her fight for election integrity across the entire country. She’s gone above and beyond what most people have done, organizing a letter that has received signatures from 186 different legislators from 39 states. That letter called for an audit of all 50 states as well as complete de-certification in all states where possible of the 2020 presidential election results.
That same letter was introduced initially as part of the election audit in Maricopa County, Arizona. It also discussed the possibility of convening the House of Representatives to take another look at the results of the 2020 election.
On Monday, Rogers herself retweeted Trump’s endorsement and added:
“Thank you Mr. President! We LOVE you because you FIGHT. Truly honored.”
This is yet another endorsement from Trump as he continues to try to play an active part in steering the results of the upcoming 2022 midterm elections. Wherever possible, he’s worked hard to drum up support for Republican candidates who he believes will push the MAGA agenda, even if it means unseating long-tenured sitting Republicans that don’t align with his principles.
The endorsement of Rogers is an example of this, as is his endorsement of Anthony Kern in an election for state Senate in Arizona. Kern, a former state representative in Arizona, is taking on Paul Boyer, who Trump has labeled an infamous RINO — a Republican In Name Only.
In giving Kern his endorsement, the former president said:
“Anthony is an incredible fighter for Election Integrity, and will bring back honesty to our voting system.”
Arizona has been front-and-center in the debate over election integrity for the 2020 presidential election. The results of the audit of Maricopa County’s results showed many discrepancies with duplicate ballots, ballot forms and mail-in ballots, National File has reported.
Trump has been aggressive in his criticism of how the state ran the election, recently slamming Mark Brnovich, the state’s attorney general, for not taking action to do something about the results.
This is why the endorsements Trump has made in the state legislature races are so important for those candidates.
