Donald Trump Says It’s Time For Ashli Babbitt To Get “Justice” Over Her Death

(RepublicanInformer.com)- Former President Donald Trump sent a personalized video message to the family of Ashli Babbitt, the military veteran who was shot dead by an officer during the January 6 protests. While Babbitt was found to be illegally entering the United States Capitol Building, she did not pose a threat at the time, was not armed, and is widely believed to have been murdered by Lt. Michael Byrd.

The police officer, however, has been cleared of all charges relating to her death. He claims to have felt threatened by protestors, resulting in his decision to shoot Babbitt in cold blood.

In the video, President Trump spoke about Babbitt’s career in the Air Force.

“Ashli served our country in the United States Air Force for 14-years, where she was a security forces airman and eventually went on to achieve the rank of senior airman,” he said. “She defended our nation overseas, including in Iraq to fight in the War on Terror.”

The former president offered his unwavering support to the family of Ashli Babbitt, and called on the Department of Justice to re-open the investigation into her death.

What do you think the chances of that are?

The video is the latest indication that the former president is not backing down, and could well be preparing for another run for the presidency. While Trump had yet to officially announce a campaign, the fact that he is now the most vocal former president in recent history indicates that it’s unlikely he plans to go away anytime soon…

At least someone is willing to stand up for Ashli Babbitt.
