Famous Athlete Says He Agrees With Ron DeSantis On Transgender Sports Issues

(RepublicanInformer.com)- Popular Republican Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, is often attacked for his perfectly moderate and normal opinions on…well, on pretty much anything. Whether he’s opposing teachers talking to five-year-old pupils about sex or promoting fairness in women’s sports, you can count on Democrats and other far-left radicals in the media to call him a transphobe or a sexist.

But not everyone is scared of supporting DeSantis in public.

Taylor Walls, the Tampa Bay Rays shortstop, has publicly sided with Governor DeSantis’ position on women’s sports – namely, that only biological women should be allowed to compete against other women, and that trans women (biological males) should not be able to compete in the same league because of the natural biological advantages that they have.

It all started with DeSantis posting on Twitter criticism of the NCAA for allowing Lia Thomas, a trans woman swimmer from the University of Pennsylvania, to compete against biological women. Thomas went on to become the first-ever biological male to win in a women’s NCAA swimming competition in Division I.

On Twitter, DeSantis said that allowing men to compete in women’s sports destroys opportunities for women and makes a mockery of championship competitions. He even said that it was effectively “perpetuating a fraud.”

“In Florida, we reject these lies and recognize Sarasota’s Emma Weyant as the best women’s swimmer in the 500y freestyle,” he said.

It’s hard to see the comments as controversial, but these days, simply stating the truth is controversial.

Walls, a popular baseball player from the Tampa Bay Rays, quote tweeted the post and added, “Couldn’t agree more.”

It doesn’t sound like much, but this is really significant. It means that even celebrities are starting to stand up to the Woke left. Let’s hope that more sporting legends do the same.
