(RepublicanInformer.com)- Fox News has reason to celebrate this year, after the Nielsen ratings showed it is the most-watched channel in the country. It’s not just the most-catch cable news channel, either – it’s the most-watched channel on all of basic cable.
They can think Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity for that…
Data showed how viewers have made Fox News their favored cable news network for the last six of the last 25 years that the network has been on the air. First airing in October 1996, the network has consistently grown and after a small bump in CNN’s ratings during the Trump presidency, the network is once again on top and regularly beating other big names on other networks.
Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott celebrated the news, saying that she is “incredibly proud of the unrivaled success” they’ve enjoyed at the channel.
According to the latest data, the network has 10 of the top 15 programs in cable news TV, as well as nine of the top 15 shows among the 25-45 demographic – which is the most important age demographic for advertisers. Without those viewers, advertisers have no reason to pay for advertising slots on a network.
Tucker Carlson had a major part to play in the growth of Fox News over the last year, with Tucker Carlson Tonight finishing the year as the most-watched TV program in all of cable news. Tucker brought in an average viewership of 3.2 million – heads and shoulders above CNN’s resident potato Brian Stelter and MSNBC race-baiter Joy Reid.
Fox’s “The Five” attracted an average of 2.9 million viewers and Sean Hannity’s show “Hannity” saw 2.88 million viewers.
It’s good news for Fox, but it’s also a good sign that the American people aren’t buying the fake news from the left-wing networks.
