(RepublicanInformer.com)- President Donald Trump is set to face yet another witch hunt, this time in the form of an investigation from Manhattan’s political activist district attorney who has convened a grand jury to decide whether to indict the former president.
The grand jury will also decide whether or not to indict executives in Trump’s company. It all depends on whether the grand jury is presented with criminal charges and with sufficient evidence to support those criminal charges…or if the jury has been fooled by the left-wing press into believing that Trump deserves to be put behind bars regardless of a lack of evidence that he has committed any crimes.
The new panel has already convened and is expected to sit three days a week over the next six months. They will be presented with “evidence” relating to a number of matters.
The investigation by District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. is focused on President Trump’s business dealings in New York and beyond. The convening of a grand jury either indicates that that the district attorney has found sufficient evidence to suggest that former President Trump is guilty of committing a crime…or it could mean that no such evidence was found, but the blame for not indicting Trump could be placed on the grand jury and not on the district attorney himself.
This is politics, after all.
People familiar with the investigation, who spoke to the press on the condition of anonymity, said that the investigation is wide-ranging – suggesting that the activist district attorney is attempting to find absolutely anything that could hurt the former president as he potentially prepares to run for office again in 2024.
Specifically, the investigation is believed to be focused on compensation given to executives in the Trump Organization, and various tax affairs.
President Trump issued a statement describing it as the “continuation of the greatest Witch Hunt in American history.”
Which sounds about right.
