Harrison Ford Reports Spooky Detail In New Indiana Jones

(Republicaninformer.com)- The 80-year-old Harrison Ford will be starring in yet another Indiana Jones movie, only this time the film will use technology to make the octogenarian actor look young again, something Ford described as “a little spooky.”

The film’s creators will be using de-aging technology during the opening scene of “Indiana Jones 5” which shows the younger Indiana confronting a group of Nazis in 1944. The film then flashes forward to 1969.

Ford told Empire Magazine that this was the first time he’d seen the technology and how it works, adding that it didn’t make him want to be young again because he’s earned his age.

Understandably, some fans of the Indiana Jones franchise wonder if the 80-year-old actor might be a wee bit old to continue playing a swashbuckling adventurer like Indiana Jones.

But Ford is adamant he could pull it off, believing the franchise should end with him since nobody else could fill his shoes.

The same questions were asked when the film “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” was released in 2008. At the time, Ford asked, “What’s the big deal?” He said “so what” if he was 20 years older in this movie.

In 2019, Ford flatly rejected the idea of a younger actor replacing him as the iconic Indiana Jones, arguing that he is Indiana Jones.

“When I’m gone,” Ford said, “he’s gone.”

To de-age the aged Harrison Ford, director James Mangold and his team replicated Indiana’s “Raiders of the Lost Ark” jacket and used software that matched archived film with the new footage.

Producer Kathleen Kennedy said she hoped the audience would see the 1944 scene and think the filmmakers found never-before-seen footage from 40 years ago.

The use of de-aging technology has become more prominent in recent years, garnering mixed reactions from viewers.

But Harrison Ford thinks the de-aging technology in the new Indiana Jones movie looks genuine.
