ICE agents have ramped up deportation efforts in Northern Virginia, removing dangerous threats from American communities. The operation resulted in hundreds of arrests including notorious MS-13 gang members and violent criminals who posed a risk to public safety. The numbers are so good, even Trump must be shocked!
At a glance:
• ICE arrested 214 illegal immigrants in northern Virginia between March 1 and 13, targeting dangerous transnational organized crime networks
• Several Salvadoran nationals with suspected MS-13 connections were among those apprehended during the operation
• A Jamaican national convicted of second-degree murder and firearm-related felonies was successfully removed
• The operation involved cooperation among federal, state, and local law enforcement partners
• Since President Trump took office, ICE has arrested 32,809 illegal immigrants, nearly matching the total ICE arrests for all of fiscal year 2024 under the Biden administration
Trump Administration Crackdown Shows Immediate Results
President Trump’s administration has overseen a dramatic increase in deportation efforts since taking office, with a particular focus on suspected terrorists, gang members, and individuals with violent criminal histories. The Northern Virginia operation was one of the most successful enforcement actions to date and sent a clear message that President Trump is sticking to his promise to remove foreign criminal elements from America.
In addition, daily encounters at the border have reportedly dropped by a staggering 93% since Trump assumed office for the second time.
Dangerous Criminals Removed From American Communities
The Northern Virginia operation targeted and arrested individuals with serious criminal backgrounds, including MS-13 gang members with prior convictions for malicious wounding, larceny, and weapons offenses. Among those arrested was a Jamaican national previously convicted of second-degree murder and multiple firearm-related felonies.
“Our communities in Virginia are safer today because our law enforcement officers stood between them and the danger,” said Russ Hott, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Washington, D.C. Field Office Director.
The operation also captured an illegal Mexican alien previously convicted of indecent liberties with a minor and soliciting a minor for prostitution.
Enhanced Enforcement Powers Yield Results
President Trump granted agents in almost every federal law enforcement agency expanded immigration enforcement authority, enabling more effective operations nationwide. This policy has empowered agencies to work together more efficiently, as demonstrated by the successful collaboration in Northern Virginia.
Over 7,400 people have been arrested nationwide, including suspected terrorists, gang members, and an alleged rapist.
The administration is working with Congress to secure additional funding for more personnel and resources to further escalate deportations. Venezuela has also agreed to take back tens of thousands of migrants, including members of the dangerous Tren de Aragua gang, as part of a new agreement with the Trump administration.
