(RepublicanInformer.com)- Meghan Markle, the American actress who married Britain’s Prince Harry, is reportedly cold calling American voters encouraging them to vote against President Donald Trump in November. The Duchess of Sussex, who was stripped of her royal title by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II after abandoning her royal duties, is reportedly working with extreme feminist Gloria Steinem to encourage people to vote Trump out.
Steinem told Access Hollywood that she and Markle have been cold-calling American voters to encourage them to turn up to the polls. She explained how she and the former British royal spoke in August and decided to help improve turnout in the election.
“The first thing we did, and why she came to see me, was we sat at the dining room table where I am right now and cold-called voters and said, ‘Hello, I’m Meg’ and ‘Hello, I’m Gloria’ and ‘Are you going to vote?’ That was her initiative,” Steinem said to Access Hollywood.
Steinem also said that Markle “defied” the stereotype of a princess, claiming she was “herself, smart, authentic, funny, [and] political.”
Since when are princesses none of those things?
Since leaving royal life behind, Markle has immersed herself back into politics. During her brief stint as a British royal, Markle repeatedly broke British constitutional convention that members of the Royal Family do not engage in political activity or advocate for political issues. Markle even told the press that her husband, Prince Harry, was a “feminist.”
It sparked anger among the British people. Prince Harry was previously one of the most popular members of the Royal Family but is now widely regarded as having abandoned his country and duty.
Earlier this year, Prince Harry joined his wife in condemning the United Kingdom for its colonial history and called on the British people to “acknowledge” that history.
“There is no way that we can move forward unless we acknowledge the past,” Harry said.
“We’re going to have to be a little uncomfortable right now because it’s only in pushing through that discomfort that we get to the other side of this,” Markle says in the same video.
Is it any wonder the Brits don’t like them?
While Steinem didn’t explicitly say they were cold-calling voters to encourage them to vote for Joe Biden, Markle’s excitement over the nomination of Kamala Harris as Biden’s running mate – along with her very public hatred of President Donald Trump – suggests that’s the candidate they were advocating for during the phone calls.
