Kayleigh McEnany Tears Into Bill Barr For Silence On Hunter Biden Probe

(RepublicanInformer.com)- White House Press Secretary tore into Attorney General William Barr on Monday, discussing his refusal to inform Congress that there was a Justice Department investigation into the conduct of Hunter Biden, the son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, during the 2020 presidential campaign.

Doesn’t it seem like that’s the sort of thing Congress should know about during a presidential race?

McEnany defended the president’s criticism of Barr after he hit out at Barr on Fox and Friends on Sunday. “All he had to do is say an investigation is going on,” the president said.

President Trump also criticized Barr over his actions relating to special counsel Robert Mueller, and his refusal to speak out when BuzzFeed made false claims about the president in 2019.

“President Trump’s exactly right, and his analogy could not be more appropriate to Robert Mueller who, in a rare move, came out and said that this BuzzFeed story is just not true,” McEnany explained to Fox News.

Barr didn’t even follow Mueller’s footsteps in saying that BuzzFeed was wrong to claim the president instructed his former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, to lie to Congress.

McEnany also hit out at the press for refusing to discuss the Hunter Biden story, even after the New York Post revealed back in October how Biden introduced a Burisma executive to his father Joe Biden, who was vice president at the time.

Burisma is the Ukrainian energy company on which Hunter Biden sat on the board…despite having no experience in the energy sector.

“When you have one of the nation’s largest newspapers banned from Twitter, when you have entities like the New York Times calling the Hunter Biden information ‘Russia misinformation,’ ironically the same publication that won Pullitzers on Russia disinformation,” McEnany said.

“And when they’re out there saying this and it’s been echoed across every single airwave, except Fox, I would point out, you have an obligation to come out because you are affecting an election by not coming out and saying that this investigation exists and is not, in fact, Russia misinformation,” she added.

McEnany, a fierce supporter of President Donald Trump who has quickly become one of the most recognizable faces in the Trump camp, said that the president was exasperated over the lack of support from Barr.

“He’s frustrated. He’s very public about it, and the country was misled unfortunately by a number of news outlets, saying that this was a fact-free conspiracy theory,” she added.

McEnany said she was with the president when he was being interviewed by Leslie Stahl on 60 Minutes, and watched as she stopped the president from speaking about the Hunter Biden scandal.

Now we know that the Hunter Biden investigation is real, it’s too late for the story to affect the outcome of the election.

So…why didn’t Barr tell the country about it at a time when it would have meant something?

Thankfully, Barr is on his way out before the end of the year, but a potential Biden presidency means it’s too little, too late.
