Meghan Markle Forced To Hire Fact-Checker After Exaggerated Claims

( Tuesday marked the return of Meghan Markle’s Archetypes Spotify podcast after a break due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

During this time, Nicole Pasulka, whose work has appeared in Vice and Buzzfeed, joined the show as a new hire.

Pasulka will work as a fact-checker for the program.  It’s unclear what function a fact checker will play in the conversational podcast’s current format, but perhaps a change in the show’s subject matter will occur.

Markle is known for her social activity, while Pasulka’s website states that she is interested in various subjects, including “criminal justice, activism, race, music, business, gay culture, and gender.”

She recently released a book called How You Get Famous that chronicles the revitalization of the drag performance culture in Brooklyn, New York, over the previous ten years.

The decision to hire a fact-checker was made when Markle’s podcast came under intense media scrutiny, and it became apparent that some of the stories she previously presented in interviews appeared to be inflated.

After her first episode aired, a story of a fire that occurred while she was visiting South Africa in her son Archie’s nursery instantly went viral.

According to palace insiders, the baby’s room heater was the source of the smoke, not a fire, and the youngster was not in danger.

In a recent interview with The Cut, Markle recalls speaking with a cast member during the 2019 movie The Lion King premiere. “I just need you to know: When you married into this family, we cheered in the streets as we did when Mandela was released from prison,” the guy allegedly told Markle.

Even the Mandela family harshly criticized her for the remark.

Later it was made clear by the cast member she had implied she had met that he had never met Markle and had not attended the 2019 event.

Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, recently announced that they would be parting ways with their US-based PR firm in favor of handling things internally and hiring PR maven Christine Weil Schirmer for the role.

After the queen’s departure, it appears that Markle and Harry are rebranding as the pair and their offspring advance in the royal succession.
