Melania Trump Announces Plan to Release Memoir Titled ‘Melania’

Melania Trump is to publish an autobiography in October. The former First Lady advertised her new book on social media, saying it would contain her perspective and “the truth.” She said that writing the book was a personal and reflective task and she feels she has a responsibility to “clarify the facts” as a person who prefers privacy but finds herself in the global spotlight.

On melaniatrump.com, Donald Trump’s third wife described her autobiography as containing information she had never shared with the public before. She presents “an intimate portrait of a woman who has lived an extraordinary life.”

The publication comes as speculation about the state of the Trump marriage increases, given Melania’s absence from the campaign trail – as well as her husband’s criminal and civil trials – and revelations from former insiders that she strongly dislikes her husband of almost 20 years. Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci recently told hosts on the left-leaning Meidas Touch Network that he measures hatred of Trump by the standard set by his wife. “I’ve met one person that actually hates Trump more than Melania,” he said, before adding that the former First Lady secretly hopes Kamala Harris wins the keys to the Oval Office in November.

Scaramucci is not the first to suggest that Melania Trump loathes her husband, and social media commentators note numerous instances showing her refusing to hold his hand, or moving away from him as he attempts to get physically closer. Following her mother’s funeral in January, Mrs. Trump appeared to refuse to allow her husband into a car with her, leaving him to walk away alone and prompting a storm of online mockery. A New Jersey Democratic deputy mayor, Terrance Curran, tweeted that Melania knows “he’s not a good person.”

Others, however, pointed out that the Trumps would often travel separately for security reasons. Nevertheless, commentators suggested Melania has turned against Trump because of the many rumors of infidelity on his part, including an affair with an adult movie actress soon after she had given birth to their son. Payments to buy Stormy Daniels’ silence over the encounter led to 34 felony convictions for the former President in New York.
