(RepublicanInformer.com)- During a press conference on Thursday, former Vice President Mike Pence lambasted his successor for criticizing a draft Supreme Court ruling that might overturn the historic abortion case Roe v. Wade.
Politico received a copy of the draft judgment and published a story about it on Monday night. Chief Justice John Roberts verified the document’s validity on Tuesday, denounced the leak, and promised an inquiry into who leaked it. Roberts also expressed disappointment with the disclosure.
At a pro-life event in South Carolina, Pence said that Vice President Kamala Harris had scolded the five Supreme Court justices named in that draft opinion, as well as Republican legislators in states across the country, for what she described as their plan to weaponize the use of the law against women, saying to pro-life Americans, “How dare they.”
Harris spoke at a gala for the pro-choice organization EMILY’s List on Tuesday night and spoke out against the Republican leaders who are attempting to weaponize the use of the law against women.
Harris said they have a lot of audacity to tell a woman what she can and cannot do with her own body. “How dare they!” she exclaimed.
She was appalled that they would try to prevent women from making decisions about their own lives. They have the audacity to attempt to deny women their rights and liberties.
Pence said in response that the lives of 62 million unborn boys and girls had been terminated with abortion since 1973, and generations of mothers had suffered heartache and loss that may last a lifetime.
“Madame Vice President, how dare you?” Pence responded.
Pence concluded by saying he hopes and prays that those five justices on the Supreme Court have the courage of their convictions and will give us a fresh start on life in America.
Pence, along with a number of other conservatives, suspected that the paper had been leaked in an attempt to sway the majority of the public.
Protestors showing up at the homes of the Supreme Court Justices would vindicate this assumption.
