During the visit, Harris proposed reviving bipartisan agreements to increase funding for border agents and equipment aimed at detecting illegal substances, such as fentanyl. “Stopping transnational criminal organizations and strengthening our border is not new to me, and it is a long-standing priority of mine,” said Harris, reinforcing her commitment to addressing border challenges.
