Pelosi Forced To Respond To Question About “Talk About A Civil War”

(RepublicanInformer.com)- As a result of the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate and “this talk of civil war” that preceded it, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was asked whether she was worried about security.

Speaker Pelosi spoke with the congressional delegation at a news conference on Wednesday to update journalists on their journey to the Indo-Pacific region, including a contentious visit to Taiwan.

Although Pelosi wasn’t in the mood to stray from the issue, the questions about the raid were sobering, and she did provide some overall comfort regarding security for members of Congress:

The questioner asked the Madam Speaker if she believed the FBI or the Department of Justice ought to publicly explain or provide background information on the raid on Mar-a-Lago.

Pelosi said she believes they were quite explicit in stating that the purpose of this conference and meeting was to discuss CODEL. She said in the next day or so, she’d have another news conference to discuss legislation and other topics. She said she declined to answer.

Another questioner said that they understood that security was crucial on her trip but asked about safety at home in light of the action at the former president’s residence. He wondered if there was any concern among her or house members, given some of the chatter, this talk of a civil war.

Pelosi said that with all due respect, she put that question in the same category as the previous question. She did reveal, however, that they did have a briefing that was long scheduled for security for Members, all Members of Congress, right before any of the acts of this week.

On Wednesday morning, Pelosi spoke about the raid in interviews but didn’t seem worried about her safety.
After the FBI raided his Mar-a-Lago residence last week, the former president Trump pledged to “do anything” he can “to help the nation,” telling Fox News Digital that the “temperature needs to be brought down” and emphasizing that the American people “are not going to stand for another hoax.”

“The situation for the nation is quite precarious. Years of frauds and witch hunts and now this, there is a level of rage that I’ve never seen before over all the scams, ” warned Trump.
