Ray J Brings Kodak Black To Meet Donald Trump After Commutation

(RepublicanInformer.com)- Tech entrepreneur Ray J brought Rapper Kodak Black to former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach last week to meet the man who commuted Black’s sentence in the final hours of his presidency.

Ray J told Page Six at the New York Post that he invited Kodak Black to be his plus-one at the Mar-a-Lago dinner because Trump pardoned him and it was “the right thing to do.”

Kodak Black (AKA Bill Kahan Kapri) had been sentenced to 46 months in prison after pleading guilty in August 2019 to knowingly making false written statements while attempting to purchase a firearm from a federally licensed gun dealer.

He also pleaded guilty in March 2020 for an April 2019 arrest for criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana. His sentence was to be served concurrently with his other guilty plea.

On his final day in office, former President Trump commuted Kapri’s sentence. Trump also granted a pardon to rapper Lil Wayne who, in December 2020 pleaded guilty to illegal gun possession.

In total, Trump issued 144 pardons and commutation on his last day in office, including the controversial pardon of former White House staffer Steve Bannon.

Also in attendance at the Mar-a-Lago dinner were Trump-endorsed Georgia Congressional candidate Vernon Jones, former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Pastor Darrell Scott, and former NYPD Commissioner Bernard Kerik.

Ray J, the founder of Raycon, first met Donald Trump in January to discuss possible initiatives he wanted to launch for entrepreneurs and young business professionals, as well as raising awareness for political issues Ray J is passionate about.

At the time, Ray J praised Trump’s business acumen and said the pair discussed job creation, encouraging small business development, and the role information technology plays in the future economy.
