Robert De Niro Gets Into Shouting Match With Trump Supporters

Famous actor Robert DeNiro found himself in a heated verbal battle against an army of Trump supporters outside the Manhattan courthouse where the former president was found guilty last Tuesday. During a press conference outside the courthouse, social media videos circulated of DeNiro shouting at protestors about the verdict and calling the Trump supporters “gangsters”.

Robert DeNiro was in New York City last Tuesday to represent the Biden-Harris Presidential Campaign, regarding the outcome of Donald Trump’s hush money trial. Donald Trump was later found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records during his 2016 presidential campaign, to keep adult film star Stormy Daniels quiet about an alleged affair between her and the former president back in 2006.

Outside the Manhattan courthouse, the Goodfellas actor gave a press conference alongside former Capitol police officers Harry Dunn and Michael Fanone to speak on their experiences of the January 6th, 2021 Capitol Riots. Surrounding the two men was the press, and a slew of Trump supporters, where things quickly become chaotic. Angry supporters interrupted DeNiro’s conference multiple times, with cars on the streets even beeping their horns. A few protestors shouted insults at the Capitol Officers, calling them traitors and claiming that the men lied under oath. DeNiro defended the officers labeling them as heroes. DeNiro, who is a known Democrat, caught an onslaught of insults from the angry crowd while leaving the conference, as Deniro’s security attempted to push back the mob. In a video captured by NewsNation’s Kristen Eskow, DeNiro stood his ground stating to the crowd that they would not intimidate him the way Trump tries to do.

DeNiro called the angry mob, “gangsters”, and the former President a “two-bit playboy”. DeNiro also warned the crowd that the re-election of Donald Trump would be catastrophic to Americans’ freedom and personal liberties. DeNiro added that Trump wants chaos within America, in which one protestor responded with profanity to DeNiro.
