(RepublicanInformer.com)- Rudy Giuliani is going to be getting some support from allies in his ongoing investigations and lawsuits that he’s facing.
On Saturday, many of Giuliani’s allies announced they were forming the Rudy Giuliani Freedom Fund. The announcement was made via a statement by Bernard Kerik, the former commissioner of the New York Police Department. The legal defense would help former President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer as he faces many ongoing probes.
In making the announcement, Kerik tweeted:
“In an attempt to assist @RudyGiuliani to defend himself from frivolous lawsuits, a weaponized Justice Department and the New York Bar, we have created the Rudy Giuliani Freedom Fund. This is the official Defense Fund for this American Patriot.”
On the website that was created for the Fund, the organization said Giuliani “was repeatedly censored for trying to expose the truth about the Biden Family’s corruption ahead of the 2020 presidential election.” It also accuses the “Deep State” of trying to “take down” Trump allies.
The website explains:
“The swamp is revolting by placing a bull’s eye on the backs of every Trump loyalist who had the guts to challenge the Deep State. That puts Rudy at the top of their list.”
Giuliani has increasingly been the focus of probes and investigations from various sources. Last week, Giuliani had his license to practice law suspended by New York Supreme Court’s Appellate Division. That license will be suspended until an additional review is conducted.
In their ruling, the panel wrote Giuliani “communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large” about Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign. They continued:
“These false statements were made to improperly bolster respondent’s narrative that due to widespread voter fraud, victory in the 2020 United States presidential election was stolen from his client.”
Speaking to Newsmax following that decision, Giuliani went off on the court that suspended his license to practice law. He said:
“They’re looking for a crime. Do you know how un-American that is? We investigate allegations of crimes. We don’t go search a man’s life to invent or find crimes.”
Trump himself was disgusted by the atrocities directed at Giuliani, too. He said New York is totally “out of control.” In a statement, the former president said:
“Can you believe that New York wants to strip Rudy Giuliani, a great American Patriot, of his law license because he has been fighting what has already been proven to be a Fraudulent Election?
“The greatest mayor in the history of New York City, the Eliot Ness of his generation, one of the greatest crime fighters our Country has ever known, and this is what the Radical Left does to him.”
In addition to the law license suspension and other criminal probes, Giuliani is facing a civil defamation suit that was filed by Dominion Voting Systems. The company is seeking more than $1 billion in damages from Giuliani and has filed similar lawsuits against other Trump allies.
