(RepublicanInformer.com)- On Monday’s inaugural broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin responded to Bill Maher’s recent comments blasting the government’s COVID response and the Left’s paranoia about the virus.
During the Friday broadcast of his HBO program “Real Time with Bill Maher,” Maher repeatedly criticized the political Left’s paranoia over the COVID pandemic. He suggested that the Democrats’ overreaction to COVID made them look bad, arguing that the so-called Party of Science has embraced things that have nothing to do with science, like wearing a mask when you’re outside or believing the virus can get you while walking into a restaurant, but not when you’re seated at a table.
Palin said Maher’s comments are too little too late, adding that he has already done “a lot of damage to the truth and the cause of justice.” Though, she did add that she welcomes Maher to the team.
She told host Jesse Watters that Maher is right, the COVID response has been “madness.” She said the COVID overreach, overregulation, and overreaction have made COVID a “red and blue issue.”
Palin, who was diagnosed with COVID on Monday, said she didn’t know who made the decision to politicize and weaponize both COVID and science. But ultimately, COVID became something to “control the people” and that, she added, is a shame.
She said if someone like Bill Maher is waking up to that, it’s a sign that a lot more people will wake up as well.

Jury selection in Palin’s defamation trial against the New York Times was scheduled to begin on Monday, however, after she tested positive for COVID Monday morning, the judge postponed the trial until February 2.
