(RepublicanInformer.com)- The media may have successfully covered up the Hunter Biden laptop scandal during the 2020 presidential campaign, but it looks like the son of President Joe Biden won’t be able to wiggle out of scandals forever.
This week,Politico revealed how the Secret Service intervened in an investigation involving Hunter Biden back in 2018. The investigation also involved his former sister-in-law Hallie, who is understood to have taken his gun and thrown it into a trash can believing that he was planning on killing himself with it.
But when Hallie went to retrieve the gun from the trash, Politico says, she found that it was gone.
Delaware police officers reportedly got involved with the investigation, concerned that the trash can was located near a high school and could be used in a crime.
“But a curious thing happened at the time: Secret Service agents approached the owner of the store where Hunter bought the gun and asked to take the paperwork involving the sale, according to two people, one of whom has firsthand knowledge of the episode and the other was briefed by a Secret Service agent after the fact,” Politico revealed.
Ron Palmieri, the owner of the store, reluctantly turned over the documents proving Hunter had purchased the gun to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Several days after the investigation began, the gun was returned by a man who said that he searched trash cans to find recyclables. Ultimately no arrests were made and there were no charges, but the exact role that the Secret Service played in the incident remains unknown.
One thing the report does reveal, however, is that Hunter lied on his application to purchase the gun. On the section that asks if he was a user of or addicted to marijuana or any other depressant, stimulus, narcotic drug or controlled substance, he lied and said “no.”
The truth, however, was that Hunter was discharged from the Navy Reserve some five years earlier after he tested positive for taking cocaine.
Does he know that lying on those forms is a felony?
The White House dismissed the story, telling Politico that President Biden “did not have any knowledge of, or involvement in, the Secret Service’s alleged role in this incident, and neither he nor any family member was a protectee at that time.”
Can you imagine what the media would do with this story if Hunter Biden was President Donald Trump’s son?
