Stephen A Smith Calls Out Harris for Dodging Media Questions

TV sports host Stephen A Smith has called out Vice President Kamala Harris and criticized her for not doing a sit-down interview or a press conference since becoming the Democratic Party’s presumptive Presidential candidate. Harris has not yet committed to either, prompting accusations that she cannot handle press interactions off-script. Mr. Smith, however, said Harris already had his vote but urged her to put the criticisms to bed. “I’m talking to my sister here, c’mon now. You got my vote. What are you hiding for?” he asked.

The ESPN analyst also tore into Donald Trump, calling him a narcissist who wants to enact vengeance on his enemies if he is re-elected to the White House. Smith stated that he does not want Trump to be President because he “doesn’t know how to act.” The sports commentator also stated that the former President has an unwelcome tendency to select and hire people on the basis of how much they admire him or are loyal to him rather than who would work in the best interests of the American people.

The Harris camp has remained tight-lipped despite increasing speculation and concern about the Vice President’s apparent unwillingness to talk to the press. However, some spokespeople have hinted that the Democrat intends to do a one-on-one media interview in August – but did not say when or which network would conduct and broadcast the discussion. When asked about it directly, Ms. Harris said, “I’ve talked to my team, I want us to get an interview scheduled before the end of the month.”

The Vice President has, however, been holding nationwide rallies on a frequent basis since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed her as his replacement. Alongside running mate Governor Tim Walz, Ms. Harris has prioritized battleground states and spoken to substantial crowds in Michigan, Arizona, and Nevada. Donald Trump insists that the crowds who come out to hear the Vice President are generated by artificial intelligence, prompting caution from some of his supporters, who urged him to refrain from making such claims as they risk damaging his credibility.
