Teens Charged In Murder Of 59-Year-Old Man

(Republicaninformer.com)- According to reports, a 59-year-old man in Toronto, Canada, was attacked and killed by eight teenage girls. Some of the suspects were as young as 13 years old.

The incident that occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday morning in the central business district of Toronto resulted in all of the girls being charged with murder in the second degree.

Sgt. Terry Browne, a homicide detective, told reporters on Tuesday that bystanders flagged down first responders after they discovered the injured man. After discovering stab wounds on the man, the emergency personnel transported him to a nearby hospital, where it was later determined that he had passed away.

According to an investigation, authorities determined that the man was a local of Toronto and that he had most recently been seen residing in homeless shelters.

Browne explained that as a direct result of the quick work done by officers in the 52 Division, these females could be located and taken into custody.

Because the suspects are minors, the police have not disclosed the victim’s identity, nor can they disclose the suspects’ names. According to the investigators, three girls were 13 years old, three were 14 years old, and the remaining two were 16 years old.

According to the investigators, the suspects are believed to be from different parts of the city and have met each other through social media. They also think they were involved in at least one other incident in the town earlier that evening.

Browne stated that they don’t know how or why they met that evening or why the destination was downtown Toronto. He wouldn’t refer to them as a gang, but what is said to have happened that evening is what we would traditionally refer to as “swarming.”  Only three of the eight girls had previous run-ins with law enforcement, while the other five had not.

The police have appealed to members of the general public who may have witnessed the group of girls or interacted with them for their assistance.

Perhaps law enforcement will offer those teens assisted suicide instead of prison.
