(RepublicanInformer.com)- Senator Tom Cotton (R-AK) revealed last week that hundreds of military whistleblowers have come forward reporting that they are forced to undergo “anti-American indoctrination” training in the military – including training based on the controversial Marxist Critical Race Theory.
During a Senate hearing with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Cotton spoke of “plummeting morale,” distrust between both sexes and races – all of which didn’t exist prior to Austin beginning his tenure as Secretary of Defense. Cotton also cited the number of “unexpected retirements and separations” he claimed were due to these radical training programs.
Citing one whistleblower’s complaint, Cotton told Austin that training in military history was being replaced with training about police brutality, systemic racism and “white privilege.” Another whistleblower reported that his unit was forced to read Critical Race Theory crackpot Robin DiAngelo’s “White Fragility.”
Austin told Cotton that the purpose of some training is to ensure that the US Armed Forces are “welcoming to everyone” qualified to serve in the military. “We ought to look like the America we support and defend,” Austin went on. “And senior leadership should look like what’s in the ranks.”
Cotton dismissed the idea that this radical race-based training was about fostering diversity. Based on the whistleblower reports he has received, Cotton told Austin that instead it is “about a very specific kind of anti-American indoctrination” Cotton believes is “seeping into some parts of our military.”
Cotton directly asked Secretary Austin if this kind of radical Marxist teaching has any place in the US Military.
I’m glad Secretary Austin agrees—Critical Race Theory has no place in our military. pic.twitter.com/Xk1ELnHBPF

Austin told Cotton that the US military must be better at being “absolutely inclusive” and promoting “equity” – adding that by doing so, the military will be the “most effective and lethal fighting force in the world.”
However, Cotton believes the opposite is the case. Emphasizing CRT will only interfere with the preparedness of our military.
On Friday, Senator Cotton appeared on Fox News to discuss what he learned from these whistleblowers. And, contrary to Austin’s claim, Cotton told Martha MacCallum, the time wasted teaching CRT is time the military could be using on military history or field training.
Every minute wasted teaching Critical Race Theory in the military is time that could have been dedicated to military history or field training.
If we continue down this road, our troops will bear the cost. pic.twitter.com/9NroWwLYbf
