(RepublicanInformer.com)- The phrase “Fake News,” which former President Donald Trump coined as an insult to the mainstream media, has been changed to “Corrupt News.” Trump announced the change at a rally in Mendon, Illinois last week. He also changed the name of the House Select Committee investigating January 6 to the “unselect committee,” referring to the committee functioning as some exclusive club that only a few are in on.
Like an inside joke that the rest of the country has the endure from a few salty politicians who are more focused on theater than an impending recession.
Trump told his supporters at the rally that “Fake News” was no longer a strong enough moniker for the media today, saying that the media is still attacking him because he’s standing up for the American people.
“It’s more than fake news. It’s corrupt news,” he said, adding that he would never cede to the media’s wish that he back down like a beaten dog and submit to their narrative. He said that if he stayed silent, they would just go on to their next victim and his persecution would stop. “But I can’t do that,” he said, “because I love this country far too much.”
“Never forget, everything this corrupt establishment is doing to me, is all about preserving their power and control over the American people…They’re coming after me because I’m standing up for you, and they’re coming after you. Believe me, they’re coming after you.”

The speech came alongside a comment made by Democratic Representative Jamie Raskin of the that same day, when he told ABC that his “principal interest” is not to see Donald Trump prosecuted by the Justice Department but to tell Americans “the truth.” In other words, it’s all theater.
The January 6 committee member said that despite “our democracy” being on the line and “our constitution” at stake, fortifying our institutions against insurrections and coups are more important.
Weird, right?
