(RepublicanInformer.com)- On Friday, Kamala Harris was put temporarily in charge while President Joe Biden went to Walter Reed Medical Center for a physical examination and a colonoscopy. And while some may suggest that Biden undergoing a colonoscopy could be considered an examination of his brain, according to CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Biden did not undergo a cognitive test as part of this physical exam.
And a cognitive test is the one thing former President Trump believes Joe Biden should be required to take to confirm whether he is mentally capable of carrying out his duties as President.
Appearing on Fox’s “Hannity” Tuesday night, Trump said world leaders like China’s President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un are “all at the top of their game.” Adding that America needs a president who is also at the top of his game, Trump suggested maybe a cognitive test should be mandatory for the President.
Trump said America’s enemies must be “watching and laughing all the way to the bank.”
Biden, who turned 79 last week, is the oldest first-term president in the history of the nation.
In a recent Politico/Morning Consult poll, 48 percent of respondents said they are concerned about Biden’s mental acuity while only 46 percent are not. Meanwhile, 50 percent of respondents say that Joe Biden is not in “good health,” and only 40 percent say he is.
During the 2020 election, Biden was asked several times if he had undergone cognitive testing.
In late June 2020, a Fox reporter asked then-candidate Biden if he had been tested “for some degree of cognitive decline.” The agitated Biden said he’d been tested. “I’m constantly tested,” he added.
Several weeks later, Biden “clarified” his statement saying he has not taken a cognitive test.
The same day CNN reported that Biden “clarification,” Biden gave one of his basement interviews with Yahoo News where he was asked if he had taken a cognitive test. A visibly irritated Biden got so combative, he demanded to know if the black interviewer had taken a drug test, asking “Are you a junkie?”
