Unhinged Michael Cohen Says Trump Will “Round Up” Opponents

The Democrats, and anybody with Trump Derangement Syndrome, knows that everything that has been thrown at the former president over the last eight years are enough to radicalize anybody.

They also know that if Trump is re-elected, he’ll have a lot of scores to settle. That’s why Trump’s own former lawyer has come out and expressed concern that he will “round up” his opponents.

It’s not completely true, but it’s also not completely untrue. Trump will only “round up” those who have committed crimes. And that’s…a lot of people.

Here’s what you need to know:

At a glance:

  • Michael Cohen, former Trump lawyer, claims Trump could use military forces against political opponents if re-elected.
  • Cohen warned Americans to take Trump’s threats seriously, referencing SEAL Team Six.
  • Trump has frequently suggested retribution against political adversaries, including calls for military tribunals.

Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s former lawyer and self-described fixer, issued a stark warning that the former president may use military forces, such as SEAL Team Six, to target political opponents if he returns to power.

Ha.

Speaking on MSNBC, Cohen, whose testimony contributed to Trump’s felony conviction, emphasized that Americans should not dismiss Trump’s threats as mere rhetoric.

“The big warning I want people to understand is when Donald Trump says something, stop sane-washing it,” Cohen stated. He urged people to take Trump’s words at face value, particularly when he suggests using military forces against his adversaries, adding, “He intends to do it.”

Cohen’s remarks come amid increasing concern about Trump’s rhetoric targeting political figures, including President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and even former allies such as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. Trump has also publicly called for the prosecution of those he perceives as complicit in what he claims was a “stolen” 2020 election.

Trump’s critics have long accused him of authoritarian tendencies, pointing to his pattern of seeking to discredit opponents. Cohen, who served prison time for his involvement in hush money payments on Trump’s behalf, asserted that the former president’s threats should not be dismissed as political bluster. He also referenced Trump’s suggestion of military tribunals for critics, which Trump has reposted on his Truth Social platform.

Although Trump has not directly threatened to use SEAL Team Six—a unit famed for its role in the Osama bin Laden operation—his legal team has argued in court that, as president, Trump could have broad immunity, even for extreme actions. The debate over presidential immunity was notably raised when Trump’s lawyer, John Sauer, faced questions about whether a president could escape prosecution after using military forces against a political opponent.

Cohen, who has previously admitted to lying to Congress, reflected on Trump’s influence within the Republican Party. He suggested that Trump’s bombastic style of leadership is driving further division within the country, and that some Republicans may quietly oppose Trump but fear speaking out.

This guy just likes the sound of his own voice, doesn’t he?

Either that or he’s scared…
