Following the announcement of a critical medical diagnosis, one of the most popular judges on television has issued an impassioned request for prayers.
In a heartfelt Instagram video posted on December 6, Frank Caprio of the syndicated TV show “Caught in Providence” confirmed his cancer diagnosis.
The show’s YouTube channel has over 635 million views and 2.5 million followers, so it’s no surprise that clips from it often go viral on social media.
According to Caprio, he recently went to the doctor because he wasn’t feeling well, and the results were disappointing. He was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, a really dangerous kind of disease.
Caprio said he is currently undergoing treatment at the world-renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston and his native Rhode Island.
He prayed that God would direct their hearts and hands in treatment of him. He said it was going to be a tough battle, but he’s ready to give it his all.
“Say a prayer” was the caption of his social media post. He said he should be able to overcome his health struggle with the support of your generosity.
He often gets the question, “What can I do for you?”. He said his fans’ friendship and kind words have meant the world to him, and he was very grateful. He also begged them all to pray for him.
He believes prayer is his best weapon for surviving this, along with medical therapy. Therefore, he relies on it.
Caprio was named the Providence Municipal Court Judge of Rhode Island in 1985. He earned nationwide recognition for his humanitarian approach to court verdicts.
He just celebrated his 87th birthday.
According to his website, after almost sixty years of marriage, Frank Caprio and his wife Joyce Caprio have been blessed with five children, seven grandkids, and two great-grandchildren.
