(RepublicanInformer.com)- Congress has ordered the Department of Defense (DoD) to establish a new entity tasked with looking into unexplained aerial phenomenon (UAP), the Pentagon stated on Wednesday.
An official press statement from the Department of Defense states that the Airborne Object Identification and Management Group will be replaced by the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). According to the DoD, Dr. Sean M. Kirkpatrick, a senior scientist at the Defense Intelligence Agency, would serve as the organization’s director.
The 2022 National Defense Authorization Act, which Congress enacted earlier this year, required the establishment of AARO. According to Air Force Magazine, the organization aims to look into UAPs and “mitigate any related concerns to the safety of operation and national security.”
The DoD stated in the announcement that AARO would be entrusted with monitoring, gathering, and reporting UAP/UFO-related activities. According to Air Force Magazine, AARO will also need to determine the UAP system capabilities and their general design from such data.
According to Air Force Magazine, members of AARO will perform intelligence operations, analyses, and any other required mitigation to “destroy” UAPs. According to the site, the institution is also responsible for acquiring the knowledge and technology of as-yet undiscovered systems.
The Pentagon released a statement, saying that the AARO’s mission will be to synchronize efforts across the Department of Defense, as well as with other U.S. federal departments and agencies, to detect, identify, and attribute objects of interest in, on, or near military installations, operating areas, training areas, special use airspace, and other areas of interest and, as necessary, to mitigate any associated threats to the safety of operations and national security.
“Transmedium” refers to things that may change from aerial flight to space flight or from submerged flight to airborne flight.
The organization’s statement coincides with the US government and NASA stepping up their investigation into claims of UFOs and UAPs. Up to 40,000 intelligent extraterrestrial civilizations in our galaxy may be able to establish contact with us within the next 2,000 years, according to research from April, while the president of the Russian space agency Roscosmos stated in June that Earth may have been “exposed to some exterior surveillance.”
