(Republicaninformer.com)- White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was called out last week after claiming that President Biden visited the southern border that illegal immigrants continue to cross, according to Fox News.
Fox News reporter Peter Doocy reportedly brought up the fact that Biden has never been to the border and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who may be House Speaker next year in the incoming 188th Congress, invited the president to make the trip with him.
“We know the president’s never been down to the border. The possible next speaker says that he wants [Biden] to go with him. So, is he going to?” Doocy asked.
Jean-Pierre pushed back on that fact, claiming that Biden has been to the border since he took office. Doocy then asked the press secretary when the president made the trip, which she ignored and proceeded to attack Republicans for being unwilling to work with the president on immigration.
The video of the interaction went viral on Twitter, with many pointing out that the press secretary is lying. Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw responded.

Republican Rep. Andy Biggs, who was recently nominated to face off against Kevin McCarthy for House Speaker, claimed that never in his entire career did Biden visit the border.
Former California Senate candidate James Bradley also piled on, fact-checking the press secretary. He said that since the president opened the border, he has not visited.

Dally Caller White House correspondent Diana Glebova recalled that the former press secretary, Jen Psaki, once told reporters that the last time Biden visited the border was in 2008 when he was just driving by while campaigning for then-candidate Barack Obama. Psaki also reportedly claimed that despite that fact, Biden is “well-versed” in immigration and has been working on these issues his entire career.
Immigrants are continuing to cross the border, with 1000 new Venezuelan immigrants arriving ahead of the end of Title 42, according to American Pigeon.
