Heated Words Caught on Camera
Republican Congressman Dan Crenshaw of Texas has found himself at the center of a fresh controversy after allegedly threatening the life of former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. And then lying about it.
The incident took place at the 2025 Alliance for Responsible Citizenship conference in Britain, where Crenshaw was interviewed about various topics, including U.S. support for Ukraine. What was supposed to be a standard political discussion quickly transformed into something much more alarming when Crenshaw was caught on a hot microphone making threatening statements after the formal interview concluded.
During his on-camera interview, Crenshaw had already expressed his disagreement with Carlson’s position on Ukraine.
“Tucker doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Tucker likes to visit Moscow and talk about how great the grocery stores are, so I don’t really take his advice very seriously,” Crenshaw said.
As he wrapped up his interview with GB News’ Steven Edginton, Crenshaw was recorded making shocking statements about Carlson.
The congressman was caught saying, “If I ever meet him, I’ll f**king kill him.”
He then doubled down on the statement, adding, “No, seriously, I would kill him.”
The footage quickly went viral across social media platforms, drawing immediate and intense backlash from across the political spectrum.
Despite the clear audio recording, Crenshaw attempted to deny making the statements when confronted online. His denial has only intensified scrutiny of the incident, with many pointing out that the evidence contradicts his claims.
The fallout from Crenshaw’s comments was swift and severe. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was among the prominent figures to condemn the statements, along with Federalist CEO Sean Davis and numerous conservative commentators. Many have pointed out that threatening violence against a journalist or political commentator represents a dangerous escalation in political rhetoric, particularly coming from an elected official.
We’re yet to get an apology out of him…do you think he will?
