Will Smith Mocked By Eddie Murphy

(Republicaninformer.com)- During a speech at the 2023 Golden Globes, comedy icon Eddie Murphy couldn’t resist the chance to make fun of Will Smith for his notorious Oscars slap.

The renowned comedian, 61, was presented with the prized Cecil B. DeMille award at the 80th annual gala on Tuesday, once more bringing his whimsical humor to the globe’s attention.

The celebrity gave fans his three “basic” job advice: “Pay your taxes, mind your business, and keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out of your f*****g mouth.”

The star-studded room erupted in amusement after the surprise allusion to the incident where Smith, 54, smacked comedian Chris Rock in the face at the 2022 Oscars.

As Murphy received the Cecil B. DeMille award on Tuesday, Smith skipped the Golden Globes.

Actors, producers, directors, and singers are honored with the prestigious award for their “great contributions to the world of entertainment.”

Murphy has received Emmy and Golden Globe awards throughout his career for his work in both film and television.

He has acted in movies including Dr. Doolitle, Shrek, and Coming to America.

Jamie Lee Curtis introduced the famed comedian, saying, “You’ve been going through your creative life, and we’ve all gotten to see you evolve as an artist.”

“This has been a long time in the making and deeply appreciated,” Murphy said in his address. “I’ve been in show business for 46 years, and I’ve been in the movie business for 41 years.”

After expressing gratitude to his family, friends, colleagues, producers, and agency, Murphy offered guidance to those aspiring to succeed.

Murphy said he could stand there and keep thanking everyone until they played the piano because he’d been doing this for a long time. He said he wanted to say something to all the aspiring artists and dreamers in the room.

“I want to let you know that there is a definitive blueprint that you can follow to achieve success, prosperity, longevity, and peace of mind. It’s a blueprint, and I followed it my whole life. It’s very simple. There’s three things you just do: pay your taxes, mind your business and keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out of your f*****g mouth.”
