Transgender Headed To Prison For Triple Murder

A male murderer who claims that he is a woman was sent to a California women’s prison after being found guilty of murdering three people, according to The Daily Wire. Dana Rivers, previously known as David Warfield, was convicted in November for murdering a lesbian couple and their adopted son in 2016. He was found guilty of three counts of first-degree murder and another count of arson.

The murders reportedly followed a disagreement at an all-women motor club called Deviants, according to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office. He joined in 2016 and left the club on “bad terms.” The judge found that the 67-year-old Rivers was legally sane when he murdered Charlotte Reed, Patricia Wright, and 19-year-old Benny Toto Diambu-Wright.

Oakland Police Department were called to the scene at Dunbar Drive after receiving reports of gunshots. Upon arriving, they found the body of the couple’s son in front of their home with multiple gunshot wounds. Police then continued to survey the area and heard sounds coming from inside the garage. As Rivers walked out of the home, they saw him covered in blood and smelling of gasoline, indicating that he was preparing to set the garage on fire to conceal his crimes.

After entering, police found the two women with gunshot and stab wounds. Reed was found stabbed over 40 times while Wright was stabbed twice.

Two days after being sentenced to life without parole, Rivers was moved to the Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla. California is reportedly lenient when it comes to allowing men identifying as women to be held in women’s prisons. 47 male inmates were sent to women’s prisons since 2021. Now the state’s prison system is being sued by women alleging that they were assaulted by male inmates.

Women activists are also calling out the state’s actions.
