Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia believes an impeachment probe against President Joe Biden might persuade Republicans who oppose impeaching the president.
Inquiries into possible articles of impeachment are conducted before any vote is taken on such a measure. The articles are forwarded to the Senate for approval if they pass the House.
Greene said there are benefits to beginning the impeachment process, including the possibility that it may cause House Republicans to reconsider their position.
She also said that the House now has greater authority to enforce subpoenas.
There are some Republicans in the House who are opposed to opening an impeachment investigation against President Joe Biden. Greene said that several Republicans in the House are still opposed to it, which might make it harder to get the necessary 218 votes.
According to her, the whole point of their impeachment inquiry demand is to pressure the members who refuse to conduct one. Therefore, the impeachment investigation is crucial.
According to Greene, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has hinted at an investigation against Joe Biden if new, serious charges surface.
On Monday, Devon Archer, a business colleague of Hunter Biden, told House investigators that Hunter Biden had then-Vice President Joe Biden participate in over 20 business conference calls.
Greene complimented McCarthy on his previous remark. She said it’s noteworthy that Kevin McCarthy is pushing for an impeachment probe while being labeled a RINO. She claimed he wouldn’t know such a thing if he were a RINO.
McCarthy’s hint that a possible impeachment probe against Joe Biden has received backing from several Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee.
Judiciary Committee member Harriet Hageman (R-WY) said that we continue to learn about the corruption of the President’s “crime family.”
Hageman said it is imperative that the Judiciary Committee initiate an impeachment inquiry immediately in light of the discoveries of the previous few weeks and the rising speed of fresh material heading towards the big man being personally engaged.
Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) told Breitbart News confidentially that, despite Speaker McCarthy’s acknowledgment of the urgency of an impeachment probe against President Biden, he doubts McCarthy will see it through.
Despite Greene’s opinion, many in Congress believe McCarthy is a RINO.
