Vladimir Putin Hit With Unexpected Challenge After Missile Strike

According to a report, the political ramifications of the early Tuesday morning drone attacks on Moscow for Russian President Vladimir Putin are uncertain.

The Kremlin has so far played down the severity of the strike. Local Telegram groups said that about 30 drones were engaged, resulting in damage to residential structures but no injuries, despite claims from Russian authorities that just eight UAVs were involved. Additionally, the Kremlin has placed blame on Ukraine for the strike, despite denials from Kyiv.

Throughout the conflict in Ukraine, Putin, according to Western analysts, has pushed the idea that Russia is gaining and Ukraine is reliant on Western help.

According to a Russian news website, Putin is maintaining these public relations operations. According to the article, unidentified sources stated the Putin administration instructed state-run media to emphasize the successful operation of the air defense forces and the failure of the provocation in their reporting on the incident.

Mark Galeotti, a political scientist based in London, has stated his belief that the drone incident was not staged by the Kremlin to boost support for the war.

He suggests that if Russia wasn’t behind the assaults and Ukraine wasn’t involved, then Russian dissidents could have been responsible.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the assault, five drones were knocked down, and three others were electronically jammed. According to the Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, just a few buildings sustained minor harm in the terrorist attack, and no one was hurt.

According to Mykhailo Podolyak, a senior counselor to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine was not responsible for the drone strike. Podolyak also predicted

that additional attacks would be launched in the future, stating they would be happy to see it.

The Russian Defense Ministry claimed on social media that the Ukraine government launched terrorist drone attacks against Moscow. The assault included the employment of drones. No hostile drones escaped destruction.
