(Republicaninformer.com)- According to recent federal court documents, Hunter Biden has accused the proprietor of a computer repair business in Delaware of seeking to breach his privacy and improperly exposing his data for political reasons.
Hunter Biden’s attorneys contend that John Paul Mac Isaac sent their client’s personal information to “political opponents” to aid then-President Donald Trump during the 2020 election cycle.
“Mac Isaac intended and knew, or obviously should have known, that persons to whom he gave the material that he thought belonged to Hunter Biden would use it against candidate Joe Biden and to aid President Trump,” Hunter Biden’s attorneys stated in a court filing on Friday.
Mac Isaac’s civil lawsuit attorney Ronald Poliquin refused to comment, saying his client’s team was still analyzing Hunter Biden’s accusations and will react in court.
In their filing, Hunter Biden’s attorneys detail the various ways in which Mac Isaac shared information with others, including the time he allegedly sent his father in New Mexico a hard drive concealed in a stuffed animal and the time he reportedly shared information with a lawyer who worked with Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani.
Some of Biden’s data, which the complaint claims include “sensitive, confidential content,” was accessed by Giuliani, Steve Bannon, and other Republican campaign associates.
It was a response to a lawsuit Mac Isaac had previously brought against Hunter Biden, CNN, and others.
The years-long drama of Hunter Biden’s data has had an impact well beyond the 2020 election, including the discussion of internet control and the investigations into the Biden family by the House Republican party.
In October 2020, the New York Post released emails it said belonged to Hunter Biden, marking the first time that information about Hunter Biden had been made public.
Since then, a flood of other content, including videos of Hunter Biden with naked women and images of him using drugs in hotel rooms, has been released in Trump-friendly publications. These sources have also disclosed emails, bank statements, and other papers detailing his successful business activities in China, Ukraine, and other countries.
Attorneys for Hunter Biden said in a court brief submitted on Friday that their client does not deny that part of his material was in Mac Isaac’s possession, but neither does he claim the laptop as his own nor name the specific items that were transferred.
Hunter Biden hasn’t come out and said that the laptop is his. In an interview in 2021, he speculated that it might be his work, that it might have been “hacked,” or that it might be Russian fiction.
This might be a ridiculous lawsuit.
