School Teacher Resigns After Mothering Teen’s Child

According to reports, a teacher in Louisiana resigned when claims surfaced that she delivered a baby fathered by a pupil who was just 17 at the time.

After receiving a tip that a teacher in the Tangipahoa Parish School System was having an inappropriate relationship with a pupil, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office stated Thursday that it had initiated an investigation.

Because of the minor’s age, Sheriff Daniel Edwards said the investigation was underway but withheld any details.

A report shows that although Sheriff Edwards would not provide any more information about the investigation, he did say that the charges were taken seriously and that it was conducted thoroughly.
According to a statement released by Superintendent Melissa M. Stilley, the Tangipahoa Parish System is aware of accusations involving a former employee of the District. According to media sources in contact with the Tangipahoa Parish School System, the instructor resigned.

A report shows the 33-year-old teacher reportedly brought herself to the police and was taken into custody, charged with rape and sexual abuse.

After an inquiry led to multiple warrants being issued for her capture in Tangipahoa Parish, 33-year-old Morgan Freche was apprehended. The reported events occurred around two years ago.

According to the report, Freche was subsequently charged with third-degree rape, oral sexual assault, and four charges of criminal illicit knowledge of a child.

Attorney George R. Tucker told reporters that the victim’s family believes the school knew of this much earlier and did nothing to stop it. Tucker said the next step was to determine why people in the know didn’t tell the family sooner.

According to the boy’s attorney, his family feels relieved that Freche was ultimately charged, and they will concentrate on putting the boy into therapy.
